Jahali is different from all other land on the planet Earth, and from any other lands that might exist not on earth. It is a place where spirits of humans long dead somehow find themselves, born into a being utterly different from their previous form: a bird. Not all spirits, however. All birds in Jahali that began as humans are one of three: Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, or Hawk. These predators live peacefully on the middle land of Jahali, hunting, resting, socializing. There's only one thing wrong with their existence, however.
They live forever.
Some of the spirit-turned birds love the newfound freedom of immortality as birds, the ability to be reborn each time they die. Others slowly get sick of the repeated life after death, and live with it, and some start becoming unable to keep going forever. Amidst all that, however, it was peaceful, with only the occasional ruckus and skirmish. But one day a stranger appeared on the island. It wasn't unusual for other birds to appear on the island, the number of spirits turned birds kept increasing by time. Except for the fact that this new stranger was a phoenix. A shape-shifter phoenix, able to turn from a phoenix to a human. The stranger, who wouldn't give his name, came with a proposal.
This existence was only a test, the existence of forever. Soon it would be time to change it forever, to make existence forever, or to make existence in Jahali end at some point, and return the spirits to where they rightly belonged. Naturally, the forever-idealists wanted nothing but to live immortally, and the others...well, it wasn't an easy choice for them. Thus they began to split, the sides wandering into the lands where their ideas were most prominent, the Kahlu Mountains, and the Nvevier Forest. Kahlu began to be mostly dominated by those who didn't want a never-ending existance. Nvevier became mostly dominated by those spirit-turned birds who wanted to live forever.
The shapeshifter's proposal: When the sides come to a compromise, I will come and change it to what it is wanted to be. Until then, every other month, when birds die in that month, they will not rise again. This will continue until a decision or compromise has been reached.
Where will your spirit-bird belong? What ideas will he/she have? Come to Jahali, and find out!
WHERE WILL YOU CHOOSE TO BELONG? ETERNAL? OR END?
