Power: Her body can become water. In this sense, she's a shape-shifter, but she's not skilled enough to take on the appearance of anyone else yet. She can freely turn parts of her entire body (proteins, limbs, etc.) into water and turn it back. She can can use this to change her shape and get through various solid barriers, she usually uses her powers defensively. If someone physically hits her or shoots her or something, then part of her body would liquefy instantly and leave her relatively unharmed. If in direct contact with another source of water, she can also control that as part of her body. If part of her body is destroyed, then she could still rebuild it and appear normal--only drastically smaller than before until she could drink enough H₂O to replenish the rest of her figure. Also, it doesn't work if she's asleep unless she's having a nightmare.

Power/Personality Relation: Taf isn't a nice person, and her powers show this. She distrusts people easily, and this form manages to make her so malleable that she's difficult to harm. This really helps her to survive. Likewise, it's difficult to hold onto water unless it's contained--this is the same for her.

Personality: She has a real potty mouth and lets it show. She's intelligent and even has a photographic memory, but her personality keeps her far from being ideal. She's usually difficult to get along with. She tends to both hate and enjoy people, and she likes to harass them to the point of being very distraught. She's never had a sexual interest in anyone, but she would be perverted just to upset someone.

As a consequence, she's a loner and secretly feels very alone all the time. Of course, it's not like she'd let anyone come nearer to her in the first place. She's at the top of her class in college and typically gets along well with her professors (unless she doesn't like them). She goes by the name Taf, which is just something she picked up just so she wouldn't be no whiny weakling Mary-Kate. She can get in fights from time to time, and she's interested in martial arts. She just tends to think too aggressively. Unless she's sketching something, learning how to be smarter than everyone else, or seriously picking on someone, she doesn't feel alive.

History: Mary-Kate was born to unwed parents, and neither of them treated her well. They got abusive whenever they became too stressed out. They weren't all that wealthy and eventually separated. Taf has a younger brother that she left at home. Like their parents, she wasn't all that nice to him either.

Elementary school wasn't the easiest for her, and she got smacked around in middle school as well. She was a brat in class and often pretended she didn't care about the lesson and tried to sleep stuff off. However, she'd always been fascinated with learning science. In high school, she enrolled in honors classes (they had fewer idiots) and eventually graduated in the top 1% of her class. She never had that many friends and often ended up bullying them herself. She left her broken mess of a family and traveled from the US to England in order to attend college--or university, as they say over here.

Did she leave her brother at home with scarcely a word? Yes, yes, she did.

She likes London and the whole new start deal. She's doing great in her science courses, but her social skills still really need help. The night of this really nasty storm, she was wandering around dead drunk. She felt like a really bright truck hit her, but everything from that night was a bit blurry. The important thing was that she somehow managed to crawl onto her bed (and got the whole thing wet in the process, which was really aggravating after she woke up the next afternoon). When she finally woke up, hungover and grumpy, something was very shortly brought to her attention: her clothes were slipping through her now very aqueous body. Even when she walked, it seemed she kept trying to turn into a puddle. It took quite a bit of concentration, but she seems to have figured out how to stay solid so long as she focuses on doing so. Naturally, she hasn't told anyone about this.
