Alice stood in the train station, her eyes fixated on the huge board that was in front of her. She watched as the locations changed and the times changed. She finally located her train. 11.45am service to Brighton. She checked her watch, it was 11.35am. She had ten minutes to spare. Alice would have been at the train station earlier if it weren’t for the traffic jam her bus got stuck in due to road works. However, the time changed on the board, her train was now delayed by 5 minutes. It was a Saturday, so Alice expected delays. The trains were always delayed on Saturday due to track works.
Alice threw her brand new Mulberry bag over her shoulder and straighten out her Barbour coat. Alice hated cheap clothes, she hated shopping in the basic high street shops too. Alice had only ever stepped foot in Primark once and that was to use their toilet. She swore she’d never step foot in there again, it was like being in a jungle. There were people fighting over £5 dresses and screaming children pulling clothes off the railings. It left Alice traumatized. She told her mother she would need counselling afterwards, obviously her mother just simply laughed Alice, but that is what Alice does best, is over-reacting.
The train was now delayed by 7 minutes.
Alice was waiting for a train to Brighton because she wanted to go shopping. She loved the clothes that were sold in Brighton, they were so out there and different, you wouldn’t find them in the shops in London. Plus, the vintages clothes that are sold Brighton are divine.
Alice jumped as a voice boomed through the station, "Can I have your attention please. We are sorry to announce that the 11.45 service to Brighton has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience caused"Inconvenience? They had caused Alice major inconvenience now. The next train was due for another 2 hours, which would be too late to go to Brighton, which means Alice couldn’t go shopping and buy nice vintage clothes. She was frustrated and angry now, she had woke up early, got stuck in a traffic jam and came to the station for her train to be cancelled.
Alice spun around to head back out the station. The man who was walking towards tripped over his own feet. His coffee flew out of his hand and towards Alice, towards her Mulberry bag. Alice shrieked, raised her hands and froze the man in front of her. The coffee had stopped inches away from her. She sighed as she stepped to one side, so that when the man finally unfreezed the coffee would go straight past her, missing her Mulberry bag. Alice looked around, she noticed every single people in the station had froze, she started to panic, big time.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • Tristen listened to the sound of the yelling and the screaming from the various passengers running past him trying to get onto a train before they all left, it was driving him insane. He had left his car at home when he had gone out the night before so was vehicle less luckily for him the male had his wallet on him and bought a ticket that morning to get back to his home. Unfortunately he had never taken a train on his own in his life so stood amid the crowd of people watching them go by wishing more than anything that he could just go home, open his front door and relax before the long shift that he had the next morning. Being a medical nurse was hard. Sometimes he wasn¡¦t sure if it was even worth it then remembered the countless lives that himself and his colleagues had saved, that¡¦s what made him go back every day, that¡¦s what stopped him from leaving. Admittedly it didn¡¦t stop him from moaning about it but he was only human and they complained.
He heard his train being cancelled flying him into a rage, he had gotten their late missed his first train and had to wait an hour for the next one. The male got onto his feet after having leaned against the wall for so long stormed off out of the platforms and onto the street where even more people brushed past him pushing him into the wall, if there was one thing that he didn¡¦t like more than missing trains it was people pushing into him especially when he was angry. Uncontrollably anger swept through the male like he could feel the blood pumping around his body as he stared at the women who bumped into him sending her flying against a wall, the man beside her stared at Tristen before also being thrown back into passersby.
The anger died down as the male saw the crowd stare at him like he had caused it which he had of course but still it wasn¡¦t normal so he acted shocked and hurried to their side checking that the pair where ok. They starting to get to their feet as the male ran back to the station platform wanting to get away from the crowd in case he hurt more people with his powers, he hated when he couldn¡¦t control them and often thought that if he wasn¡'t careful then he could kill someone with them.
It wasn¡'t until that point that he noticed how quiet it was making the male smile as he looked forward towards the people in front of them thinking about how nice it was that it was quieter. He however was shocked to find that it was quiet because everyone was still, motionless, none of them looked like they were breathing yet somehow he knew that they were real people but they were frozen in time. Tristen walked forwards walking up to one of the frozen people and gently touched his shoulder causing the figure to fall backwards to the floor with a loud thump. He tried to catch the motionless human yet it seemed pointless so instead he picked him up and brushed him down with a frown. "Sorry" he muttered to the figure walking forward slightly.
The male felt like a crazy person walking through the platform where everything was still and quiet, it seemed like he was the only one that was moving which was strange. He then remembered leaving the station and figured out that it must have been only in the area at the time, what it was he wasn't sure but it seemed strange almost like a power yet he hadn't met anyone else except from Evan and Marie each with elemental type powers but that was beside the point he was sure that there were more out there and maybe he had just found one.
As if someone could read his mind and realised what the male wanted to know, he noticed a female a few steps away with her back to him. She however, unlike the other figures seemed to be breathing and moving like him, she wasn¡¦t frozen at all. The female must of stumbled upon them like he had or she had been the one that had caused it, he knew that he hadn't for a fact so decided to take a few more steps forward getting closer to the female. "Was this you?" he asked with a frown poking another person on the arm who stumbled forward slightly.

"Take deep breaths, Alice. Deep. Breaths"Alice muttered to herself taking quick, short, breaths. She ran her fingers through her hair, panicking even more. This was her worst nightmare, well one of. Alice quickly looked at her watch, seemed like everyone had been frozen for hours, but it was only a few seconds. Maybe if she’d just leave, then no one would ever know. Yes, she would leave. Forget her shopping and her day trip to Brighton, she would probably just end up freezing something and get flustered over it anyway.
It was ever since that stupid storm this was happening. It must have been that storme that messed her up. Alice thought she was going crazy in fact, she could have been knocked into a coma after the storm and all this wasn’t real. Alice pinched her arm, she felt it, but she would feel pain in a coma, wouldn’t she? Alice was over thinking the situation, a usual, her mind running into overdrive.
Now the people had been frozen for 10 seconds. Another one of her worst nightmares, people never unfreezing. She needed to learn how to control her power.
Alice then heard footsteps. Her eyes widened in terror. She could could just pretend she was frozen too. Yes, that was a good idea. Alice stood still, her heart pounding hard in her chest. She felt sick. Thoughts of being in Area 51 were running through her head, being considered a freak of nature. Her eyes closed, dreading what was going to happen. Maybe the person would just think they are going crazy or they may freak out and call the police.
Alice jumped as she heard a voice behind her and someone poked her. Without thinking Alice spun around, her hands flew in the air in an attempt to freeze him, but the boy didn‘t freeze. Alice tried again, he was still moving. Oh this was it, her power was broken, she can’t freeze anyone and the people around her will be frozen forever.
Alice shook her head quickly at the stranger‘s question, "I… I have to go… I have places to be. I need to go home. Now. Like right now Alice spoke fast, she wasn’t sure if she was speaking to herself or the boy. As soon as Alice stopped speaking the people around her started to move again. They started to carry on doing whatever they were doing. The coffee flew straight past her and hit the floor with a splash. Alice stroked her mulberry bag, she had managed to save it. That had been a close call, but there was still a boy stood in front of her who had witnessed the whole thing.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • Tristen couldn’t help but frown as the female began to walk off again, she seemed panicked about the whole situation yet it didn’t seem that she was freaked out that everybody around her was frozen, It had to be her ir she had seen it before, they were the only two points that he could think of to why she was behaving the way that she was. She looked like she was going to start running in a minutes from fright which wouldn’t be any help to anyone whatsoever and the male wasn’t in the mood for chasing after her so instead he lifted his hand up slightly and waved it placing a small metal bin in front of her path, he then threw two more either side of it so that it would take her even longer to get away if she still wanted too.
Yet as he caught up to her the crowd began to move again resulting in lots of people charging through the station and the platform, it was back to its busy self which wasn’t a good thing for the male at that moment. The enormous crowds pushed the male back a few feet from the female that he needed to take too. Not only this but they were also getting in the way, he was losing his focus on the female and she was beginning to merge with the crowd that seemed to just absorb her like water did into a sponge. The male yelled out in frustration yet took a few deep breaths not wanting to throw various objects around the place and after half a minute or so he had calmed down resulting in him starting his searching again.
He quickly found the three bins and the female which was a few feet away from him thus he charged to her side so that they couldn’t get separated again and so that he could keep a watchful eye on her in case she did try to run. After taking a few seconds to take a breath he smiled at the female showing his kind hearted nature or at least he hoped he was showing that quality, if not then she would probably not trust him yet at that point he needed her to trust him, he could of just found out about another person with a power. It was strange he kept finding more and more each day, he wondered if Marie was having the same luck as he was. They had after all same that there was more people with powers then them or at least there had to be theoretically speaking. “I’m Tristen” he told her sighing gently “and you need to tell me how you did that, you froze them didn’t you?”
He said it more as a statement then a question yet he felt that he already knew the answer for it but still needed to make sure of what he had seen. Tristen could of just wanted to see more people with powers so had imagined it, just because people stopping at a train station didn’t mean that they were being manipulated or used by a person with a special power. If trust be told he wasn’t sure what he was suppost to do with his power, it came in handy at work and in every day to day activities but he felt that there was more of a reason than helping himself, they must have been given the powers to do something with. Tristen needed to know what, he had to know or it would probably drive him crazy. “Don’t worry I won’t say anything, I’m like you” he told her quickly wanting to gain her trust before he lost her “I can’t freeze things but I can move things, each has its pros and cons but er can talk about that later. Right now we need to talk about everything we know”

Alice pushed her way through the moving people, she could see the exit ahead. She was nearly free. She could get her bus home and forget about the whole situation, like it had never happened, have a cup of tea and relax. Although she doubted she'd be coming to the train station again anytime soon.
Alice rushed through the crowd, getting pushed side to side by the swarm of people. That was one thing she hated about a train station, people were oblivious of your existence. If they were late for a train then would just simple push you out the way without a second thought like your a rag doll.
Alice continued walking through the station with swift, short steps, she wasn't sure if the male was following her or if he had just gone back to his daily business. Suddenly a bin slid across the floor and in front of her, then two slid either side. She stopped still for a moment. That was odd, Alice knew she hadn't done that either. She put it down to the wind, the wind had somehow blew them there. She saw the boy had appeared aside her. Alice jumped at the sight of him. He gave her a friendly smile though, but she didn't return the smile. The boy could be a policeman or something, he could arrest her there and then. Alice didn't want to give anything away. She took a deep breath, telling herself to calm down.
Tristen. That was the strangers name. Alice wasn't sure what to respond with, should tell him her name? No, she shouldn't because then he would know who she was. Alice just simply nodded her head. Then Tristen asked a question, a question about how she froze the people, "I have no idea what you're on about!" Alice exclaimed, her voice a little high pitch than needed. If she could just pretend she knew nothing then nothing could be pinned on her.
Alice had yet to meet another person with powers. She had never considered that the storm affected other people like it did to her. Alice just thought it was her. She listened as Tristen told her that he was like her and that he could move things. Alice didn't believe him though, she just thought it was a plot to get her to tell him all about her power. Then he could arrest her and lock her up for being a freak. Alice was definitely over thinking things now, every sort of possibility was running through her mind. It was beginning to give her headache, onto of feeling sick from terror and fear. "There is nothing to talk about. I don't know what you're talking about. Nothing happened" Alice insisted, she then realised something, "Hang on. Did you move that bin?"" She questioned, pointing towards the bin that was a few feet anyway from her.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • He sighed as the female charged away from him, he guessed that some films were like real life, every time the good guy tried to talk to another person then they would run away until the end when it was a life or death situation, he didn’t really want it to go that far, he liked being alive. Thus Tristen followed her keeping a few feet behind her when the female suddenly stopped turned around and began to speak to him, he wasn’t sure what she was doing at first until she opened her mouth and the word flowed out towards his ears which thirsted for the sound of her voice. The speech entered them allowing him to finally register what she was actually saying and what she was wanting him to answer even though she seemed rather panicked. “Yes it was me, the only way I could get your attention” he told her getting as close as he could so that people couldn’t hear him but far enough so that the female didn’t bail on him again or get scared “Ok there was this storm with large ice that fell from the sky and lightning which nearly shone the whole sky up. I think it affected people giving them certain gifts, I can move things its called telekinesis but I also met a girl who could control the weather. There has to be more than just us two and I think that you are one of them, I think that you froze them people or stopped them from moving or something”
Tristen told her everything he could think of while keeping a kind hearted smile plastered on his face trying to show her that he was telling the complete truth, to prove it he made her eyesight follow his finger back towards the bins. With a wave of his hand the bin flew across the room and thudded against a wall making Tristen take a deep breath, he didn’t like using his powers away from the outside, it was where he felt the strongest and was where he could practise his abilities without having to hide from people. Luckily for him although he didn’t know how no one saw the bin hit the wall so didn’t bother moaning about it making him laugh about it. “Now do you want to talk?” he asked raising his eyebrows to show that she would be insane if she didn’t take the chance up “I’m not going to hurt you, I would never do that to anyone. I just feel that seeing as we both have something special then we should talk about it”
The male let out a awkward laugh wondering what he was going to do so rubbed the back of his neck gently wishing that he could get the female to trust him, he had always thought that he was good at that through his work so thought that it would be quite easy to do so in real life. That said it turned out that easy wasn’t even in the dictionary and he didn’t really know what else to say to her, she seemed nice a nice girl but she hadn’t even told him her name. Tristen wondered if she was really that scared of him, he wasn’t all that scary looking was he? It suddenly hit him and he knew exactly what he had to do, the guilt trip. “We need to find somewhere to talk, I’m not dangerous I promise you” he said yet again trying to reassure her with what he was saying “This storm did something to us and we need to find out or do you just want to keep freezing people?”

Alice straighten her dress out and flicked a stranded of hair of her face as her eyes studied Tristen’s face. He didn’t look like the type of person who would lie to you, but then again, people can be deceiving. Alice had met many people in her life who looked like perfectly nice people and they turned out to be horrible, especially boys, but now wasn’t a time to be judgementally. She had found someone else with an abnormal ability, someone she can speak to and share her feelings about the storm with.
It put her at ease slightly when Tristen described the storm to her, he must have been in the same storm as her. The oversized blocks of ice and the bolts of lightening. He was talking to her about something called telekinesis and some girl who could control weather. "I didn‘t mean to freeze them you know. It just happens. I panic, then bam, no one‘s moving" Alice took a deep breath, she was talking far too fast, rambling even, "And then I can‘t unfreeze them, then you came along and you wouldn‘t freeze. Why didn‘t you freeze?" Alice’s question was more of a demand. This would make her less likely to trust Tristen, she hadn’t come across someone she couldn’t freeze before. His power must of affected her power, that was the only conclusion she could come to. Alice quickly tried to freeze Tristen again with a swish of her hands, hoping it was just a glitch earlier on, but yet again he didn’t freeze.
Alice watched as the bin moved across the floor and hit the wall with a thud. So Tristen might not actually be a policeman who is trying to trick her into telling him about her power. She gave him a small friendly smile, as she glanced down at her feet, fiddling with her necklace. "I‘m sorry, I am a little jumpy at times, a little irrational too" She explained, she felt like she needed to say sorry about her sharp way with words and rudeness. Tristen was probably just trying to help her. "I‘m Alice" She then added, this time her smile was a little wider.
Tristen wanted to talk to her about her power. Alice had never spoke about her power before to anyone, not even her sister or her parents. It was just something she tried to ignore, but it kept interfering with her life. Somewhere else to talk sounded good, the train station was getting loud and rowdy. Alice could do with some fresh air too. She was starting to feel a little claustrophobic. "Depends, where do you want to go and talk?" Alice asked, she was curious to see where Tristen had got in mind. Alice was a little excited that she had found someone else who was affected by the storm, yet she was a little apprehensive. Alice pulled her hair round to the front and ran her fingers through it, she was starting to get hot. The last thing she wanted was sweat on her Barbour coat.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • He silently cheered himself on in his head as the female started to talk to him, she seemed a lot more calmer and when she was relaxed she seemed like a much nicer person to talk too, someone that he could actually get along with even if she was talking fairly fast. That said Tristen was the same, he often talked too fast for people to understand him which was a pain as it was just how he spoke, he was determined that one of these days he would just tell them to listen faster and maybe they would get somewhere. “Woah calm down” he said grinning at the female “Though so, yours is set off by panic? Mine was anger until I started to control it, I’m still nowhere near yet but it helps to be able to use it when you want instead of from your emotions. I don’t know maybe because I have a power? Or because our powers are the opposites? I mean I move things and you stop them.”
In all honestly he didn’t have a clue at why her power didn’t work yet was more cornered when she starting moving her hands at him like a madman causing a raised eyebrow from the male. “What’s with the hand movements?” he asked still slightly freaked out by the small manic episode that she had just experienced in front of him. Tristen hoped that she was ok and that her power wasn’t affecting her in some way as he often used his ability so didn’t really like the thought of getting any side effects, he had enough problems in his life at the moment. He didn’t need his powers messing up as well. “Nice to meet you Alice, even if you did try to run away from me” he told her grinning now.
The male sighed at the question as he had hoped that Alice would of known where to go but seeing as she didn’t he began to think about various locations, coming up with nothing he just decided that they would walk. Sure it wasn’t the most exciting thing to do but it was better than standing in a busy street surrounded by people who were still yelling and screaming about the delays of the trains. Tristen laughed at them before he smiled back at the female next to him where he layed out his plans hoping that she was ok with them or he would have to fore himself to think of something. “Ok I can’t think so how about we walk and talk, I’m sure we will come across something” he told her with a large grin quickly adding slightly embarrassed “Though if we see a starbucks I am there”
Tristen shifted his weight to his other leg watching as yet more people arrived with suitcases and the such all barging into other people. He bet that most of them wished that boy wizard person , he forgets the name, was real so that they could run through walls and get to that train that was suppost to be real. The male laughed at that thought of magic being real until he noticed the bins that he had moved with his power, surely if his power existed then so did that kind of stuff. He thought for a moment before shaking his head again no that was a fact, nothing like that existed. He was being stupid and knew it so decided to change his pattern of thoughts and focused onto Alice who was before him. “So you like that idea or?” he asked again frowning slightly “We don’t have to if you don’t want it’s just that I’m out of ideas”
The sound of a train that stopped beside him made the male jump slightly causing a laugh to escape afterwards as people disappeared into its cabin’s, the train wasn’t even going that far but people were obviously desperate and wanted to get on. He bet that Alice wished she could do the same although he hadn’t asked her what she was actually doing at the station anyway. “So Alice what were you doing here? Getting on one or getting off?”

Alice would consider herself as calm. She was certainly calmer than she was 10 minutes ago, since everyone had unfroze. "I am calm" Alice insisted, smiling slightly. She just needed to relax about the whole situation. Tristen had proved to her that he had powers too, so that was a weight off her shoulders. At least he wasn’t freaking about the whole situation which is probably what a normal person would of done. Alice was grateful it was Tristen who had discovered her not just some everyday commuter. Alice nodded her head, "I think it‘s triggered by panic and frustration sometimes" She replied. Alice just wished she could control it instead of just freezing everything all the time. Alice's main emotion was panic and worry. She knew all the worrying wasn’t good for her. Lately she had been trying to mellow out, trying to put things at the back of her mind and let things just fall into place instead of trying to make them. "How do you control it?" Alice questioned. Tristen probably couldn’t show her how to control her power, she knew that it was going to be down to herself, but tips would be useful. Tristen had a point though, maybe that’s why she couldn’t freeze him because their powers were opposites.
Alice then realised she probably did look like a mad woman waving her hands around like she was, but that was the only way she know how to freeze things. Maybe she just wasn’t panicked anymore, that’s why she couldn’t freeze Tristen. She just had no idea, but still it was nice speaking to someone knowing that you cant freeze them mid-conversation. "Sorry" Alice muttered, "I was trying to freeze you and the only way I know how to control my power is through my hands" She added. It would be better if she could freeze people using her mind, then she wouldn’t have to wave her hands around.
Going for a walk sounded like a good idea. Alice could do with the fresh air, she needed it. However, where they would be walking was a different question. She let it go though. After all she had nowhere to be, she had told her parents she was going Brighton for the day so they weren’t expecting her back anytime soon, plus she was all up to date with her coursework. Alice liked to get all her work done as soon as she got it so there was no running round and stressing at the last minute. "A walk sounds like a good idea" Alice said, she then smiled at Tristen’s remark about Starbucks, "I‘m more of a Costa girl, but Starbucks do wonderful frappucinos”" Alice slowly slipped her hands into her pockets, thinking if they’ are in her pocket then there is less chance of her freezing things.
Telekinesis seemed like a beneficial power to have, moving things with your mind. She could close the door without getting up, or even rearrange her clothes in her wardrobe without moving. The possibilities seemed endless. Alice then turned her attention back to Tristen as she realized he had asked her question. "Oh, I was suppose to be going Brighton to do a spot of shopping. Fancy getting myself new shoes… and a maybe a new dress… then a bag to go with the dress" Alice then noticed she had trailed off, kind of talking to herself. She blushed and laughed quietly, "So, what brings you to the train station today?" She enquired.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • “Panic and frustration” he repeated allowing the words to sink into his brain as the letters rolled from his tongue, the way her power worked was completely different to Tristen. His was based purely on anger or at least when he first received his power that was the only time that he could use it, mostly during arguments with people resulting in him having to calm down a lot during them so that he didn’t accidentally wave his hand around and hurt someone. It wasn’t until he received his power that he noticed how often he waved his hands when during various day to day activities like talking to someone or getting in the car or just walking down the street, it had been uncontrollable at first and rather annoying yet thankfully his patience pulled for and he began to control it more and use it less when he was angry although he was still prone to random outburst when his anger raged. “To be honest, I’m not sure how I can explain it but I guess I just focused on it, I concentrated on what I wanted to move and then I flipped my hand. You I’m guessing need to focus on something moving and then freeze it, I’m not sure though, I’m no expert”
Tristen sighed before looking down to his feet feeling slightly nervous about the whole situation as he didn’t really know if he would be helping the female or actually harming her power, he hadn’t really asked how other people had used or controlled their powers. Hence why he described how he had controlled his as it was the only one that he knew about, the strengths and the weaknesses. “Oh trying to freeze me hey?” he asked with a raised eyebrow before breaking it into a grin “Wait what do you do with people when you freeze them?” The male couldn’t help but show a shocked expression and a laugh after that comment, it wasn’t that Tristen was dirt minded it was just that. No actually he was dirty minded. He just hoped that Alice saw the funny side of it or at least didn’t try to hit him.
He turned to her when she mentioned starbucks and his favourite type of drink that they did, he grinned at the aspect of having one as he couldn’t even remember the last time that he had drunk one of them. Most likely during a break on his shift although because they were so long they just kind of blurred together and joined into one. Shaking his head slightly he walked further forward just thinking about the coffee, that was what he wanted at that moment and well he also wanted to know about the girls power and that. Tristen had it all planned out, talking about anything until they reached the shop then they would order a drink before talking about the tough subject that he didn’t really want to announce to the world, he was pretty sure that she wouldn’t want to either.
“Shopping hey?” said the male with a raise of his eyebrows typical she was going to go and get yet more clothes when she probably had more than enough already. Tristen was the type of person who would just go shopping spend a bit, hang out with friends and probably eat before going home yet the girls that he knew would just shop, shop and do more shopping which just bored him to death. Alice seemed to be quite similar so was glad that she didn’t seem to want to shop in London or she wouldn’t of wanted to go somewhere else at least he hoped not. “So you don’t shop in London then?” he asked frowning before muttering to himself “Please say you don’t like them”
He was shocked when she asked him about his train as he had forgot all about them making him hold his hand up to stop Alice from walking away from him. Tristen then ran towards the desk and changed his ticket so that he could get a different train hours later instead before he returned to the female where he walked outside of the platform to answer her question. “Going home really, went out last night and was just going home. This is more important though so I got another ticket”

Alice nodded her head as she listened to Tristen. It seemed like common sense, if she wanted to freeze something surely she could just do it without getting all panicky. Alice just hoped she’d be able to get control over her power soon. "Honestly. I don‘t ever want to freeze anyone, or anything, it just happens" Alice responded, "I worry in case they never unfreeze" Her last statement was more of a mutter, she hadn’t told anyone that she worries over her freezing being permanent. To Tristen that may seem far-fetch, but Alice does wonder if it’ll ever happen. But then again, least her power can’t harm people unlike Tristen’s. Alice could imagine that Tristen could cause serious harm to someone if he wanted to, least Alice didn’t have that to worry about.
Alice pushed it to the back of her mind the fact that she couldn’t freeze Tristen. She then smiled and nodded her head slightly, "Yeah, I was trying to freeze you, sorry" Alice answered. At least if Alice froze someone they would have no clue about it, but if she threw them across a room like Tristen could, they would probably notice. She then giggled at Tristen’s comment, yes it could be perceived as a dirty remark. Alice didn‘t consider herself as a dirty minded person, but still she found it amusing, "I just stare at them and wait until they decide to move again" Alice admitted, "Haven‘t really got time to do anything with them cause they unfreeze seconds later" Alice added, with a small smile. Another thing could be perceived as dirty, depending on what type of mind the person has got.
Alice only went Starbucks every now and then, but she was a regular in her Costa near her house with her Costa Club card. She went there every morning on her way to University to get a large latte, sometimes cameral latte depending on her mood. The morning latte always set her day, but this morning she hadn’t got time to pick up a latte due to her running late. She had heard on the radio that there was a traffic jam in town so she had to leave earlier than planned so she could make her train. It didn’t make her angry or annoyed unlike some people who miss their morning coffee, she just felt like she was missing something. So maybe a frappuccino would make up for it.
Alice preferred to go shopping on her own because she spent hours walking round shops and she knew many people didn’t like doing that, they just wanted to get their clothes and go, but Alice looked at every single outfit there was in the shop. If she was being honest, her cancelled train and meeting Tristen had probably saved her from spending a lot of money on unneeded clothes. Alice was also aware of the fact that people didn’t love clothes and fashion the way she did, so she never bored people to death with stories about how she got 70% off her latest pair of Kurt Geiger shoes. Alice shrugged her shoulders at Tristen's question, "Shopping in London is okay. I just like to go somewhere new though sometimes. Get clothes that aren’t sold in London" Alice was about to go into a ramble about how she’d love to go to New York to shop, but she reminded herself not to bore the poor man to death. He probably wouldn’t be interested in her ramblings.
Alice watched as Tristen rushed off to the desk, she wondered what he was doing. When Tristen returned and announced he had changed his ticket Alice felt bad, "You don‘t have to miss your train and change your ticket" Alice insisted. She didn’t want to think that she had disturbed Tristen’s day.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • Tristen turned to face the female quickly with a smile showing that he was happy to be with her until the female began to speak. He nodded in response to what Alice had said it would be bad if everyone was frozen constantly as a whole area of people would just be there forever with people around the world trying to figure out what had happened, talk about a moral panic. Tristen remembered the term from his school work when he had taken up sociology in truth he had liked the subject although the male had never verbally said just how much he had done. That said he had gotten through the subject with a B at A level which he was happy with as was his two teachers that taught him although they did think that he could of done better. Tristen was someone who was clever or intelligent but didn’t really believe in himself a lot, one of his worst traits. “Yeah that would be bad, really bad” he announced out loud to the female as he walked back to her side “Still trying to freeze me? You don’t give up easy do you?”
The male smirked and looked forwards allowing her speak again yet the male’s expression soon turned into one of humour. “You don’t need to apologise, maybe your get better at freezing things when your trying to do it all day” he suggested to her smiling “Well at least you aren’t hurting anyone with your power” Tristen thought about his own power and the amount of people that he had heard, it wasn’t many but one person was enough and he had a little more than one. It sucked having all that power and not being able to control it very well in times of need, although his times of need weren’t life threatening or hadn’t been yet, he hoped they wouldn’t be either. Shaking his head at the thought he watched as two birds flew past the pair a few feet above their heads twittering happily to themselves with no problems at all, sometimes Tristen wished he was an animal they had none of the stress that they did.
“Haven’t got time?” he asked frowning as a grin spread across his face “So you’ve tried it then. What happened? Did they say anything or just take you down some alleyway where you had your way with them?” Tristen couldn’t help but express a laugh at Alice’s comment, she seemed like a laugh to be with something that he hadn’t had for a while, if he didn’t count the night before that was. Except he wanted to have a good night with people who didn’t need to get drunk to do so, of course he liked a drink most of the people he knew did but he just needed feel that people had to have it in order to have a fun night. “So it doesn’t last for long then? The freezing thing?” he asked raising an eyebrow in question.
“Clothes that aren’t sold in London?” he repeated with yet another frown “Why not in London? What’s wrong with the clothes here? And where do you get all of this money from?” All these question were drifting through his mind as well as others yet decided that he didn’t want to bundle the poor female with them all, they had all day to talk after all. Now that he had changed his ticker that is which Alice soon pointed out. “It’s fine, I have all day free anyway, I would rather spend it with you then sitting at home on my own like a loner” Tristen smiled at her walking forwards towards the exit as wind blew across his cheeks giving him a slight chill, after which he pointed left down the street. “Starbucks that a way, you want to go there first or what?”

Alice shook her head and smiled, "Nah, I‘ve given up. You just don‘t want to freeze" Alice responded. There was no point keeping trying, there was obviously something stopping it. She heard the tweeting of the birds above and looked up as they flew past. Then with the quick flick of Alice’s hand the birds ceased movement. It was comforting to see her power was still working and not some how broken. Plus she was very pleased with herself, it was the first time she had frozen something on demand, even though she had never tried before. However, she was just hoping no one in the station would notice two froze birds in the air. "I thought my power may have been broken" Alice explained to Tristen. It was bizarre using the word power, Alice had a power, something that she had never believed in until now. Alice never believed in magic or anything to do with the supernatural, but now here she was, freezing objects and people. It was a lot to take in.
Alice looked up at the birds once more and repeated the hands movements she did to freeze them, in an attempt to unfreeze them, but they remained immobile. She sighed, that was something she needed to work on. Instead, she turned back to Tristen, "Have you hurt anyone with your power yet?" Alice asked. The question may have been perceived as personal, but to Alice is was just a general question. She was yet to hurt anyone with her power, but wondered if it was possibly. Probably was. She could freeze someone then push them into a lake or something, but then that would be Alice hurting the person, not her power. Her power would just be helping.
Alice then started to thinking about the positive sides of her power. If she could learn how to freeze for longer then there would be many positive effects. Next time she’s about to miss a train she could simply freeze it. Or a bus. If she really wanted to she could walk into a bank, freeze everybody and take all their money, but that was taking it a step too far.
Alice had never tried to do anything to anyone while they were frozen. Although once she did re-arrange her sisters scarf while she was frozen, Alice felt it wasn’t in the right place, but other than that, Alice tended to stay motionless while someone is frozen. Alice hadn’t frozen many strangers yet though, just mainly objects and her family. Alice laughed again, "No!" She exclaimed, smiling, "I would never dream of doing anything like that, I‘d panic too much about it" It was true, Alice would worry in case the person noticed that she had moved in those few seconds. "People only tend to stay frozen for a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes, depending" Alice heard the tweeting yet again as the birds unfroze and flew off out of the station.
Alice shrugged her shoulders, "Nothing really wrong with clothes in London, I just like to find clothes that are different" Alice replied. She did enjoy shopping in London, but she was starting to get bored of the shops in London and had already seen most the things that were in the shops at the moment. "Well" Alice begun, "I have a student loan, plus I have a part time job in Abercrombie and Fitch" Alice had been working in Abercrombie and Fitch for almost a year now. The only reason she had managed to get a job there was because her cousin worked there and had put a good work in for Alice. The money was decent and she only worked for a few hours after University, but her main source of money was her parents. Her parents tended to give her money when she’s broke, but they refuse to give her money for her shopping sprees. So Alice likes to save up her wages for a month or so, then go shopping and blow it all.
Alice was pleased to hear that she hadn’t disturbed Tristen’s day. She followed in his footsteps, it was rather chilly outside so she pulled her coat round herself. "Starbucks first?" Alice asked, turning her head to Tristen.

“A few minutes” he muttered to himself frowning slightly. Sure enough the female had an amazing power one that he was envious about yet she could only use it for a few seconds or minutes maximum, that didn’t seem fair or very effective. She had a power that worked on a time limit, he wasn’t sure how he would cope if his telekinesis had a time limit on him, he was sure that he wouldn’t be able t use it very well if he had to keep dropping various items every so often. Not only would that be a strain on his energy yet he would also get extremely annoyed with it and eventually he knew that he would probably give up using it. He had gotten used to his power and on that count decided that in fact although there was strengths and weaknesses for both powers he would rather keep his own mental ability.
He sighed gently when Alice mentioned about the student loans that she had to pay back which he reminded Tristen of his own student loan which in fact he was still paying off even though the NHS was suppost to pay for his loans he still had to pay for various things thus his money wasn’t going anywhere in a hurry. “Oh loans, I’m still paying mine back” he told her with a half hearted smile “It isn’t too much, it can just get annoying” He mentally hit himself as he thought about what he had said, it made it sound like it was a choir to pay all the loans back which admittedly it was yet still he didn’t want to put Alice off of going to university.
Tristen let out a laugh to try and cover up his mistake which was followed with a side glance at Alice when she explained where she worked causing his eyebrows to raise again in shock before he let out a real laugh. He could see Alice being in a shop like that probably trying on all of the clothes before she would let anyone buy them and knowing more about them than most in the store, she would also more than likely try to get discounts on the clothes because she worked there. “You work in Abercrombie and Fitch? Wow good job how did you get a job in there? I heard it was fairly hard to get considered and really competitive” he said running his hands through his hair “Do you get any discounts or do they like their stuff too much?”
The male nodded at the mention of starbucks following the female down the road yet gently jogged for a couple of seconds to catch up with her. He wondered what he was doing at that moment exactly as he had just picked up a girl who he didn’t really know to go and have a drink with her at a shop after showing her his power when he had seen hers at work at least it looked like it had been hers. She proved that when she had frozen the birds up above them where he grinned in acknowledgment. “You are getting better at it though” he told her as he watching the birds who suddenly came back to life shortly after “Just got to work on the time, not that I’m that good at controlling my power anyway. Getting angry is the worst thing, that’s when I lose everything. I lose all of my self control and well it’s not nice”
He took a deep breath at that moment before he smiled at Alice as he saw the store come into view where he walked towards the bar and inside before he said anything else. The male then ordered for the both of them, asking what they both had decided upon earlier, a frappuccino each which he ordered as large because he was rather dry, he just hoped that Alice was thirsty too. Tristen then walked outside choosing a table where he sat down and signalled the female to come towards them, he had asked the waitress to send the drinks over so he just sat there waiting for the female to join him again. When she got close enough to hear his voice without him having to shout he decided to speak again. “I ordered you a large, hope it’s ok?” he asked with a frown joined with a grin.

Alice shuddered at the thought of the amount of debt she was running up, it did tend to worry her every now and then, but her mother reminded her that it would be a while before she would start paying it back again. Didn't stop Alice worrying though. "Still? How old are you?" Alice questioned. She glanced at Tristen, he looked no older than 25 surely. Alice didn’t like the thought of still paying her loan back when she hit 25, she didn’t like owing money to people, she liked to have her money to herself. Alice could be a little selfish when it came to money and found it hard to pay out to people. She avoided lending money off people. "Sure it‘ll be worth it in the end" Alice said, she was telling herself that rather than Tristen.
Tristen was correct, it was pretty hard to get a job at Abercrombie and Fitch, so she was grateful for her job, otherwise she could have been left working in Primark. That would have been her worst nightmare. She didn’t like the thought of working in a basic shop like Argos or New Look. She wanted something different. So Abercrombie and Fitch was perfect for her. She had applied for the job twice, first time she was turned down, second twice was successful after a lot of persuading. Alice had proven she was worth of working there though and felt she had earned her place. She was always up for doing overtime and helping out too. It was her first real job, she had a few part-time jobs in various places doing different things, such as delivering catalogues or working as a Christmas temp. "Well, it‘s all thanks to my cousin " Alice explained, "She‘s quite high up there and she put in a good word for me. Told them I‘m interested in fashion and that I‘m doing a degree in fashion, well fashion management" Alice paused, felt like she was talking about herself too much. She had a tendency to do that, to ramble on about herself and give long answers to simple questions. "Where do you work?" Alice asked, smiling slightly.
Alice slipped her hands into her pocket and nodded her head. She was proud of herself, it was first time she had frozen something on command. "Hopefully it‘ll get better" She replied, as she continued to on walk towards Starbucks. Alice was starting to like her power though, feeling rather grateful for it. "So your power is triggered by anger then yeah?" She added.
As they approached Starbucks Alice hung back and waited outside. She watched as Tristen ordered them both a drink. She knew Tristen would order her the drink she wanted, a frappuccino, since they had been talking about them. Alice joined Tristen on the table outside. She nodded her head at Tristen‘s question, "Large is fine, I‘m pretty thirsty" Alice replied as she sat down, placing her bag on her knee. She hated putting her bag on the floor, she feared it would get dirty. Alice slipped her coat off as she was feeling a little warm and placed it on the back of her chair.
