Marie shifted awkwardly, her eyes once more turning down to examine her shoes. It was silly to feel awkward in the middle of a conversation. At the start of one, yes, that was to be expected...but then again, Marie hadn't really stopped feeling awkward since first talking with him. But that wasn't his fault, of course not. She just didn't know how to talk to people, or know what to do. It was a failing, and a rather major one at that. All the intelligence over facts and things you could learn from books, and languages and numbers...they were nothing if you couldn't get along with people. So she took a deep breath, and looked up quickly, deciding that this time, she'd force that awkwardness away, and be confident. Or...well, confident-ish.
"I haven't researched anything yet...Well, apart from the storm, and I used my dad's old notes for that,
[/b] Don't cry don't cry don't cry... "But I didn't really notice anything strange. But it's...well...it's kind of...cool, don't you think?" She was rather hesitant about that last bit, despite telling herself to sound confident. For one thing, she didn't know whether people said 'cool' or not still. And for another...well, maybe he hated it. She hadn't hated flying...had hated feeling weak and shivery at the end yes, but actually in the air? No, then she'd felt nothing but freedom. "Or what they can do...I mean...Telekinesis, and weather...they're not exactly similar, are they?" So it stood to reason (for some reason involving maths and figures which she'd half calculated before realising that was weird, and stopping), "So...there could be people out there who could do anything.." She acknowledge the shrug of his shoulders with a shrug of her own, and resisted the urge to duck her head again. No, neither of them really knew what they were talking about, did they? But they could make educated guesses. "In fact...well, anyone could have one. There were more people than just me in the park when it...hit, I remember that.." She also remembered crying a lot, but she wouldn't mention that. That would seem rather weak...and he was nice. People who called her weak before were never nice about it. "You...do?" she asked, blinking, with surprise clear in her voice. And then smiled, relieved. So it hadn't been a silly suggestion after all. In the moment before he'd responded she'd been mentally kicking herself, wishing she could draw that back into her. But now she wished she hadn't. She did look at his hand though, with a small sounding; "Now?"Her clothes were dirty, and dust covered, and her hair was tangled, and...she had been brought up to believe that it wasn't right to go out in society looking this messy. He didn't look that messy, not really, but Marie...well, it was another thing that made her a freak, she guessed. She liked to be neat all the time...not vain, just wanting to look nice. And she did want to look nice, so he wouldn't be embarressed. "Umm...would I be able to change first? I mean...go home, and get out of...these? And money, I can get money, so..." she bit her lip, not wanting to seem rude, but definately not wanting to go out in public looking like she'd just been rolling around in a warehouse. Even if, technically, that's what she had been doing. "We could meet later? Also...well, if anyone has noticed anything, from outside, now, we can avoid them." She wanted to get caught about as much as he did. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • “Your dads own notes?” he asked the female with a large frown escaping from his face “Oh you mean he has notes on the storm that changed us or storms in general?” He didn’t know of course that when the female opposite him meant old notes it wasn’t because he was old, in fat it was for a completely different reason one that Marie hadn’t spoken to him about yet and probably wasn’t planning on doing so anytime soon. He smiled for a split moment when she said that it was kind of cool that they had gotten their powers which he had to agree with. He loved his power and often used it for his own needs which he felt slightly guilty about yet reassured himself that they hadn’t come with a rule book or anything to go with them. “Yeah it is, I mean I like mine” he told her with a gentle smile “It must be … urrr cool to fly?”
Although he didn’t know it at that time he was thinking about his usage of the word cool, he wasn’t sure about using it yet had said it to conform to what the female had said about their powers. In truth he liked his powers a lot more than he was saying, he actually loved them, who wouldn’t like to move things with their mind, that’s what he would like to know. Not that he would actually ask anyone and get locked up for either being crazy or someone thinking that he was a threat to human life. Which he wanted to point out was not true but couldn’t stop his thoughts from remembering when he had gotten angry and used his ability on people when he was younger. It hadn’t of been his fault though, he was new at his power and didn’t really know how to control it at that point. Now he did.
He listened carefully taking in all that she said and nodded with a nervous expression wondering if he could say what he wanted to say to the female before him. He decided that he could trust her, they trusted each other with their powers which was probably their strongest secret that they held hold of, he felt a connection anyway. “Yeah I think they could but that might not be such a good thing” he said before starting his rant “Thing about it a three year old gained the power to steal life or something then everyone he touched would be dead, we would be wiped out in weeks. Or maybe some guy can’t die and will try to take over everything. We just don’t know. Maybe, oh this is going to sound stupid, maybe we are suppost to stop them”
The male waited for her to laugh or to reject his opinion yet was drawn back into the conversation when the female looked shocked that he had said yes to her. It wasn’t like he didn’t like the girl, it made him laugh mentally when he thought of how cute she looked when she was shocked. Tristen shook his head still grinning as she spoke about going at that moment yet he didn’t really mean at that exact moment, after all they were both not in their best condition. The male was covered in concrete dust and his hair was all over the place with large bits of rock in his hair, he laughed at the sight of the female yet knew he looked just as bad. “Your right we don’t really look good at the moment” he told the female grinning like a mad man “Yeah sure we could meet later, you want me to drive you back?”
Tristen waited for Marie to answer wondering where she actually lived although he had quite a good idea, defiantly upper class, she had told him that herself, at least he was sure that she had did or he had just guessed. Either way she didn’t belong in that location anymore than he did which was why he pulled his hand away from her and took a step towards the way that he had walked into the building from, which was when he noticed that the female wasn’t following him and hadn’t yet given him an answer so turned back round. “Well?” he asked with a small frown.

Marie nodded her head, realising that what she had said may have sounded odd. "Yes...He was a weather specialist. Lectured at the university..." Was. There had been no information on this storm, of course, because...because he'd died before it had even occured, hadn't he? Marie could feel her eyes watering at the thought, and ducked her head quickly. She hated being as emotional as she was, it wasn't right. Crying at everything like a baby...but all through her life she'd been the same, as a child, as a teenager...Of course, those emotions were mainly locked away now, but the tears still fell. She couldn't control them. Perhaps that's a link to the rain, or something, she thought to distract herself from the tear-jerking thoughts, The rain cannot dictate when it falls. It's all down to the cycle...
Science thoughts made her blink the tears away, and she looked up again quickly to nod in agreement. Oh, he'd said 'cool' too...So it was still a good word. That was rather nice. Marie didn't want to seem any odder that she must already do. "It is," she said simply, and returned the smile. He had a rather sweet smile. Any smile which wasn't malicious was sweet, of course, but his was rather nice.
She blinked in surprise at his rant, clear on the details he was making. "Anything in anyone's hands can be dangerous though," she said quietly, "A child picking up a stone can hurt someone. A cat crashing into a bin could scare a homeless person to death. Anything and everything in this world could be used as a weapon...Perhaps you're right. Perhaps this is meant to...balance it out." There must be other power's out there. Her and Tristen were so different, in their powers, and...well, probably in everything else, but they had them. Other's would be even more different, she was sure. And stopping them? She trailed off in thought. Was it wrong to think of that as just a way to end the neverending pain her father dying and the taunting words left in her? She could use what she could do to hurt them as well...hurt the people who teased her and taunted her...and hurt the people who failed to save her father. She had power now...
She shook her head quickly, distracting herself from those thoughts, focussing once more on the man in front of her. And grinned slightly. "No...no mirrors here, but I'm sure we don't. And...Yes. That would be nice. Thank you. I...don't much want to walk around this late around here, if I'm honest..." That thought just made her feel afraid. She didn't know this area...Didn't know it at all. Perhaps the cruel people lived here. A life home would be...nice. She could trust him, after all. He had saved her life. Using his power...so the powers could be used for someone good. She didn't need to just think of using them to make the pain die within her. Logically, she knew that would alienate her even more, and make people not like her. And damn it, Marie wanted to be liked. No one seemed to though...so she must have done something wrong before. Tristen...seemed to though. But did he like her, or her power? It was hard to tell...and hard to decide whether she really cared.
She glanced up, before blinking, realising he was moving away, and then flushing pink as she realised he was waiting for her. "S-sorry.." she stuttered, still flushing, hurrying to catch up, "Just...got distracted.."

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • “Was?” he asked with a slow voice when he realised what she meant, her dad was dead. Worry and horror spread across his face and he leant forward to hug the female but didn’t want to upset her even more so hung up back slightly with his arms slightly leant forward before he returned them to his sides as quickly as he could. The male’s chest tightened around itself as he felt the pain pulse through his body, he knew what death felt like and hoped that he hadn’t upset the female. The death of anyone hurt but when it was a parent or a child it was ten times as worse no matter what age it was when the parental figure died. “I’m sorry Marie, I didn’t know, I shouldn’t of asked”
He smiled as she began to real off what was dangerous in the hands of certain things it made him laugh, she was rather smart and instantly he thought of private schooling due to her background but didn’t say anything in case he upset her even more. He knew that the lower class population had to go through poverty and hardly had any new technologies to use like mobiles and computers but it must have been harder to be of a higher class socially. Always represented in a certain light and always made to act in certain ways while constantly being called a snob, it must be harder to get through with no company then it was with no computers. “Maybe” he said listening to Marie again “Your right anything can be dangerous if we let it, heck we are the perfect examples. These powers are strong, we could kill people if we chose too, not that I want to or anything but we are dangerous”
Tristen smirked when she spoke about the torn down warehouse having no mirrors, which was no surprise to the male but still it caused slight sarcasm to escape from his voice followed by one of his large smiles.“Really? I didn’t notice” he told her kicking a small piece of rubble across the floor so that he didn’t trip over the thing and made himself look like a fool in front of the female, that was all that he needed. He heard her apologise from behind him yet didn’t say a word until she arrived by his side yet again. He sighed gently looking towards the door which was a few feet away from the pair wishing that it was closer, it was at that point that he decided he was rather lazy, not that he hadn’t thought so beforehand. “Where abouts do you live?” he asked reaching the door and swinging it open to get a gush of wind blown in his face sending chills through his body making him slightly more cold than he was “Great, well at least it isn’t raining”
Tristen walked to his car which he clicked his keys twice to open unlocking the doors allowing him to climb into the vehicle where he opened the passenger door with his other hand for Marie. He slammed his door shut and soon put his seatbelt on while he waited for the female to get in where he felt sorry for her as he threw a few questions in her direction. “Do you want me to get the heating on? Music? CDs are in the glove box if you want them, not sure what I’ve got in there though, some of them are my Ex’s” he told her quickly with a smile before checking his mirrors to make sure that they were safe, it wasn’t that he was a careful driver, far from it but he just liked to make sure everything was ok considering the run down location that they were in. He was sure that nothing had been broken however so switched the key on which brought the car to life. “Anywhere you want to go before I take you back?” he asked gripping the wheel in both hands.

Marie shrugged a little, her lips curving up into a small smile. "It's ok..." Was it ok? Everything recently, in her mind, kept reverting back to her father's death. And these powers...what if there was someone out there with the sudden ability to cure cancer? Or to bring the dead back to life? She couldn't help the way her breath caught in her throat at that idea. She didn't have that...did she? Maybe she just had the weather, but being able to control the weather was an odd one, different from Tristen's. It wasn't impossible that there was someone out there, who'd have the ability to bring her father back to her, in her mind. But control over life and death? Marie wasn't sure whether to be delighted about the mere possibility, or terrified of her own thoughts. So she compromised, sort of, and just squashed those thoughts down, locking them away with the emotions she didn't want to affect her.
"No, no, I wouldn't want to kill anyone!" she looked fairly terrified at that idea as well, her eyes wide and the posh, upper class accent in her voice being accented a little more. She hoped that impression hadn't come across...she really did. She was worried that's what he'd think of her, suddenly, inexplainably. She wasn't a killed, Marie wasn't. Marie loved nature, and loved life. She was a pagan, had been since she'd first heard of religion. Killing someone? Never. Although...there was that little voice that didn't sound liek her, that sounded like the crackle of lightning, soft against her mind...It depends what that someone has done...
Marie shook off those thoughts once more. She seemed to be doing an awful lot of that, of shaking off the bad thoughts. But she had done for years, hadn't she? Eveer since her father had first fallen ill, and her orignally perfect, rich class life had gone to hell. "Oh yes. The interiour design of this place needs a great deal of working on," she said, nodding her head seriously, but with a laughing glint in her eyes. A joke...ish...thing, she was making a joke. That was a nice thought, really, to be able to make a joke with someone. That last person she'd done that with had been her father. And that had been overshadowed by his illness and then...No. Stop thinking like that. It wasn't right, this was a happy time. Not a bad time. She had a friend...friendly person talking to her.
"I can point it out to you. It's...it's not exactly hard to miss," she said, sounding embarrassed. She'd never had any call to be embarrassed of her house before. It was a pretty town house, in the rich neat area of London. Just because her father was dead and her mother kept burying herself in her work and occasionally the brandy bottle, it didn't mean that she didn't have some money still. She wouldn't know what to do if that happened. "I'll try to make sure it stays that way, if you don't like the rain."
She followed him outside towards his car. It wasn't the most sensible of ideas, she knew, to get into a strangers care, but he wasn't really a stranger, was he? Strangers didn't save a suicidal looking girl's life unless they were friendly. Or...or perhaps drunk. She didn't know...she'd never really encountered a drunk person before, except those slightly tipsy uncles at past social gatherings. Oh, and her aunt, her father's sister. She'd been very drunk at his funeral wake. She sat down, looking around the interiour of the car with an unhidden interested look. She was used to pristine clean leather, and this...well, it felt rather nice. Homely, if a car could feel that way. Not made of plastic.
"What type of music do you have? Oh..." she had been about to reach for the glove compartment, but then he mentioned his ex, and she couldn't help her hands as they fell back into her lap, fiddlng with the hem of her skirt, "I don't mind, really. I'm...not good at knowing what to do with other people...or where to go. I'm sorry."

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • “No its not, I shouldn’t of said anything” expressed the male with a kind hearted smile “What happened to him?” He hoped that he didn’t seem nosy or anything he was just generally concerned with how Marie was dealing with the loss which obviously wasn’t very well, it was to be expected though. Tristen was fairly close to his family and would do anything for them which he received in return from them that said there were times where they couldn’t stand each other but he couldn’t imagine a life without them. The male felt that it just wouldn’t be a complete life yet because he didn’t want to dwell on asking her questions about her father in case she got upset he decided to change the subject as quickly as possible.
“That’s probably a good idea” he agreed with a quick nod “Killing someone isn’t such a good idea, even if it was for good reasons. I don’t know though maybe only in self defence” Tristen frowned slightly thinking about the kind of situations that he would use his powers to end someone’s life yet it would be a last resort and only to protect either his own life or someone else’s. He didn’t know if he could kill for other reasons like revenge and for being cheated on or something like that, not that he was with anybody at that moment in time anyway but that was beside the point. He watched her expression and could see that she was quite terrified about the whole idea which was exactly how he was feeling at that moment; they didn’t really have a clue what they were suppost to do with their powers.
He allowed the grin to spread outwards from his face radiating a slight glow onto his cheeks as Marie made a joke about the designs of the warehouse, which was shortly followed by a laugh. Tristen liked how serious she was being too and just hoped that she wasn’t actually thinking those things. “I have to agree, the exterior could do with some new designs as well, maybe they could fill in these holes or rebuild the place from scratch instead? Either way it needs a lot of work before we go put it on the market” sure he was droning on but he was just playing along with his new found accomplice.
The male nodded as he adjusted his seat to get more comfortable, of course her house wouldn’t be hard to spot, he could see it in that moment. Vast green lawns freshly cut an Olympic swimming pool and large iron gates to keep people out. Although it was only a guess Tristen was pretty sure that she would live in a big house or something similar, he could imagine her living in a small bungalow for example. He however kept his mind open; he wasn’t one to judge people before he knew anything about a person thus didn’t like to label anyone either. “Oh why is it a big place or?” he asked staring onto the rear view mirrors as the key clicked into the ignition springing the car to life like Frankenstein did with his monster.
Tristen noticed her hands drop when he said ex and thought back to what he could of said about her that was bad until he realised that it could of sounded like he didn’t want her to touch the CD’s which wasn’t true, he opened his mouth in order to get the record straight. “Well she left them when we split up so it’s her fault that she left them, now they’re mine” he told her with a gentle smile “Just didn’t want you to freak out when you found her Aqua CD and thought that it was mine” The laugh he let go of this time was a quick few seconds and one that he didn’t even notice letting out until the moment had passed.
“Ok well I will get you home first anyway then we can decide afterwards” he told her as he spun the car round gently to face the exit. He couldn’t help but notice how cute she was being with the whole not knowing what to do look, he wondered if she had a lot of friends or was any good in social situations. Tristen pulled out into the road and followed the one way street towards a roundabout yet before he reached it he spoke out to Marie. “Okay then point me where to go as in directions” Following her directions he soon came onto the straight which led to her house making the male whistle when he saw the building. “Nice place Marie” he told her with a serious expression “You’re a student right?” Sure it was a random question and completely out of the blue yet he wanted to know more about her before they parted otherwise all they really knew what each other’s names and their powers. Tristen was just the kind of guy that liked to know things about a person, like their interests and career.

"Cancer," she murmered, after a pause. After quite a long pause, she relaised belatedly, but she couldn't do anything about that now. She'd been wondering whether to tell him, whether to open up to him more than she had done anyone else. There was no one else, after all... But she hadn't really 'opened' up. No, she'd simply said what he'd died from, that word which even now sent a pang through her chest. "Just over a year ago." She was actually incredibly surprised that she wasn't crying. Usually she'd be crying at less that saying that. Just the thought of her father was enough to bring her out in tears. Or...had been, anyway. She wasn't crying now though.
Still, she was relieved that he'd changed the subject. Simply because she hadn't been crying didn't mean that she wouldn't start, and she'd done so well in her eyes, without crying. Marie was known and teased for being a crybaby. It wasn't her fault, as she so often told people, but...well, perhaps it was. Most things turned out to be her fault. "I'd still...hate myself if that happened. Even in self defense..." Would she though? There...were some people she did want to hurt, deep down, each time they made her cry, or pinched her, or put gum in her hair...But, no...everything was too big and...well, fascinating, yes, but frightening at the same time. And yet Tristen seemed so calm about it...calmish. That made her smile slightly. They didn't need to do anything with them. "For all we know...these might not last."
Marie laughed, a bright laugh, matching the brightness of his cheeks. That was...amusing. Funny, it was. "It does, doesn't it?" For a moment, she had wondered whether he was taking her seriously, whether he was actually teasing her by smiling and playing along...But no. He seemed too nice to do that. And...she didn't want to think that he would do something like that.
She ran her hands over the inside of the car, touching the soft seat with a thoughtful look. It was a lot better than the plastic leather she was used to. Soft and...welcoming. It supported her earlier thought of the car being homely... even if that made her blush slightly. "I...well, yes, I suppose it is." Yes, it was a big house. Four floors, with a large back garden, neat hedges...upper class. Just how people imagined it to be, really.
"Oh..." she flushed again, fiddling with the hem of her shirt again, "I...didn't want to be...intruding, or...Sorry." She reached forward quickly, running her fingers delicately over the CD's cases. She laughed lightly at that as well, a light giggle more than a laugh, to be honest. "Don't worry - I doubt I'd freak out...Don't know whether that's a good band or not, to be honest. Or...what it is. I don't pay attention to names of singers...just the music."
Her directions were issued in a soft voice, pointing her fingers gently in the direction she meant, growing increasingly more timid as they neared her desination. She blushed even brighter, ducking her head timidly. "Umm...thanks. And yes. Not for much longer though!" she added quickly, just in case he suddenly didn't want to know her, scared he'd think her too young...because he both looked and sounded older than her. "But it's my parent's house, really. They...have money." Her mother had money. Her father had a will. She had to remember that.
She paused, fiddling with her shirt once more. "Thank you for driving me back...Do you want to come in?"
OOC:: I'm loving these two <3 And thanks!

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • “I’m sorry to hear that, didn’t mean to bring it up” he said putting a hand out onto her shoulder where he gave her a slight squeeze for comfort yet quickly took it away thinking that she might get freaked out by it causing him to speak up again quickly “Sorry you looked like you needed help” Tristen gave her a quick smile and faced straight ahead a slight heat reaching his cheeks ad blood was pumped around his body making him blush ever so slightly however the male tried to cover it up so that she didn’t see him do so. It was embarrassing enough to blush in front of someone let along them seeing him blush, he just didn’t want that to happen at all.”But self defence wouldn’t be your fault, take it this way if someone attacked your mum would you use your power to protect her? I would straight away without a doubt in my mind”
It was a strong subject to talk about but she seemed fairly mature for her age so it didn’t bother him too much to listen to the female and see what she had to say about it all. The shock then hit him when she said that their powers might not even last sure he had thought about that point but that still hurt to hear those words he might of survived without them before but now that he knew what it was like he wasn’t sure if he could live a normal life afterwards being normal. Admittedly he would feel human again but still he liked having the power and the ability to help people as well as himself, it was good to just have control over something that no one else had for a change instead of people controlling him.
He laughed when she agreed that the house was quite big. “Quite big, it’s flipping huge” he shouted out with a grin on his face which was followed by another chuckle from his throat. He couldn’t help but watch the building in shock thinking about how nice it would be to live in a large home like that, he could have so many things that it was unbelievable. Tristen looked over the house and seeing no movement frowned, she surely had parents so where they were unless of course they were working. Nobody got that like of house and kept it for free unless they won the lottery but Marie didn’t seem the type if there ever was one.
“Well me neither but she was particular about certain music, some of it I couldn’t stand but I let her play them and kind of zoned out with was crazy cause most of the time I was driving” he told her smiling “I was watching the road I was just slightly asleep” Tristen laughed at his memories which were good times sure he may have split up with is girlfriend but they parted on good terms and still spoke to each other. Both their careers had gotten in the way and it hadn’t worked out neither blamed the other knowing that it wasn’t anyone’s fault thus remained as friends. Not that they saw each other a lot however. “Its fine no need to say sorry” he added on her point that she had mentioned earlier.
Tristen raised his eyebrows at the female as she said that she wasn’t a student for much longer almost like it was a plea, not that really cared about ages or anything like that, he didn’t like dividing people into categories, he knew how things like that could get in the way and he didn’t want that to happen to him thus ignored them. “Any plans on what you can do when you leave?” he asked interested in what she wanted to do. The male watched for a while lost in what she as doing which was mostly fiddling with her clothes suggesting that she was still nervous about something. “You ok?” he asked gently taking his seat belt off so that he could get a closer look at Marie.
The male nodded when she said that the money belonged to her mother, he was right she was the rich one or the breadwinner who got them their money. “What does she do to get that much?”Tristen waited for a response yet showing shock when Marie asked him if he wanted to come in, he hadn’t expected that at all. He sat there motionless for a bit until a smile spread across his lips followed by another nod. “I would love too but won’t your mum think something is going on? I’m a complete stranger to her and I’m pretty sure you haven’t told her about your power so we can’t tell her why we actually got talking. Plus we are both covered in rubble, not a good site” he said with a small frown “Wont that freak her out?”

"It's ok...I just...don't really talk about it." Marie flushed. Again - she seemed to be doing that a lot recently, flushing. And knowing she was flushing made her more embarressed that she had the right to be. But she hadn't disliked the squeeze to her shoulder. If she was honest, it was the nicest touch she'd had since...well, since her father had died. If you didn't count the bit where Tristen had helped her up earlier. But at least flushing meant she wasn't crying. That was definately something. And...well, if she was correct, then the male was blushing as well. She wasn't too sure what to think about that...so didn't, and pretended she hadn't noticed. He looked like he'd been trying to hide it anyway, and it would be rude to point it out.
"I...would. But you're right in the 'I wouldn't think about it' bit. Because...I don't think about this. It just happens anyway. Thinking about it just gives me some degree of control." If her mother was threatened though, she would use it. She wouldn't need to think - something inside her just put the idea of destroying anything and everything which hurt her mother. She'd already lost one parent - she doubted she would be able to cope if she lost the other. Not only would it hurt, but she'd be sent back to France. Her grandparents had wanted her and her mother to move back there anyway, after her father had died.
Without the powers...She supposed she could manage. But then she remembered flying, and the exhilerating feeling of being in the air, and of being in control. And the power that had rushed through her, swirling darkness, perhaps, but power. She didn't have any power in the world, none at all. Could she give up that? No..No, she was suddenly very sure that she wouldn't be able to. She'd fight to hold onto it, if only to get that feeling back again.
Marie let out another laugh at his story. Of course, she wouldn't have enjoyed being in the car at the time, if that had happened...but why would she? Of course she wouldn't have been in his car, that was a stupid thought. She quickly dismissed it before it could lead to anything more stupid and idiotic. Marie didn't do idiotic. Focussing on his next question was more important - she couldn't ignore him. That would be rude. And in truth, she hadn't been thinking about her future recently. She'd been too caught up in the present and the past. "I'm not sure. University, I think...maths or Chemistry. Perhaps go into Law." In fact, she didn't really know. Her parents had always been strict about her education, her f...father especially so. Becoming a Loyer had been his dream for her. Perhaps she would follow it now he was gone.
She blinked in surprise when she'd realised he'd leaned closer...but didn't feel afraid. If anything, she smiled again, releasing the hem of her shirt as if just realising that she was fiddling with it. "Oh...yes, I'm fine. Sorry...again. Just...not used to this. And mother's a lecturer, at the university. Father was as well...but most of the money came from my grandmere, in france. They're...rich, over there." She'd always had money. She'd never really wondered where it had come from, just...taken it for granted. She'd never been told she wasn't supposed to.
"Oh..." she said, her eyes widening, "Oh, yes, she would wonder. And I don't want mother to know about...about the storm things. So...yes, it would probably freak her out." She chewed on her lip slightly, before unbuckling her seatbelt, "Do you just want to meet later then? That might be for the best. We can meet at the complex at...Six? Whenever...Up to you."

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • • Nodding in agreement to the female he twisted slightly more so that he faced Marie directly, he decided not to mention anything more about her father as he didn’t want to upset her that was the last thing that he wanted to do. She had been so good to him during their encounter and he wanted to see her more than the one day hence why he didn’t want to ruin their relationship by making her cry over her father which he wouldn’t blame her for doing. He couldn’t imagine his life without his dad, he might not see him every day but he knew that if he couldn’t ever see him again then he wouldn’t know what he would do. It was a subject that he didn’t want to think about so he decided to change the subject but found out that he didn’t need to as Marie changed it instead. “Yeah I guess it does give us some control” he told her smiling.
He couldn’t help but grin along with Marie who laughed at his story about his ex and her lame music that she had played, he had hated it yet didn’t say a lot about it because they were together. Now that they were separated however he could moan about them all that he wanted too which was rather a lot, that said he didn’t want to say too much so that he bored the female out of her mind. He didn’t moan too much but when he started it lasted for a long while with a lot of insults and words that he was banned from speaking at work however he often muttered them underneath his breath.
Tristen listened to her plans for the future which was about going to university; he could see her doing well in a place like that, she wasn’t stupid for one thing which obviously was a great thing to not be at a place like that. The money wouldn’t be a problem either with how much that her mother and co seemed to earn, he would love to have some of that for himself. He then shook his head at his thought, money didn’t bring anybody happiness in fact he knew a couple that were so lonely and had terrible lives but had money. That was what he didn’t want, he would pick being happy over money any day. “I think you should go, your be great”
“Wow France? Do you see them a lot then or?” he asked curious to her relationship with them, keeping the talking going for as long as he could, he didn’t want to split away from the girl as quickly as he had others. It was weird but he seemed to have connected to Marie a lot. “How did they get all of this money then?” Tristen leaned back into seat where he sniffed the air freshener in his car which the male had gotten a couple of days before hand, it was a new fragrance and he rather liked the smell of it. He returned his gaze to the female again however so that she didn’t he was being weird sniffing his car so he decided to tell her what he was actually doing. “New air freshener“
He laughed as her eyes widened so leaned forward to the female, closer so that he could speak to her better. “Yeah I don’t want to make your mother angry already, that would be bad” the male told her as a grin spread across his face “Your poor mum will have enough trouble with you walking in like that, let alone having me to deal with as well” Tristen informed her quickly yet in a nice voice so that it didn’t sound that he wanted her to leave, in fact he would love it if she stayed by alas she needed to go home sometimes. “Six would be good, I can pick you up if you want?” he told her smiling as the aspect of meeting up with her again, she seemed to want to too.
As she took her seatbelt of he felt a risky moment to say something or do something to show that he was glad that he had met her but no words came to his mouth. Instead he quickly leaned forward and gave her a small peck on the cheek before pulling away with a small shy grin on his face that he quickly hid away to replace with a calm smile. “I had fun” he managed to get out after a few seconds of silence.

"And control is a good thing to have," Marie added in a soft voice, almost in an undertone. She was merely voicing her own thoughts that had occured from his previous words, but that didn't make any of it any less true. Control was something to be savoured. And she had so little control over her life...perhaps that was like the weather as well. You couldn't control the weather, and she couldn't control her life. It wasn't the fondest of thoughts though, she had to admit.
She smiled when he laughed, and for a moment wished she could relate. But she couldn't...Marie had never had a boyfriend after all. She was a loner, and reclusive, and boys just didn't pay attention to her at all if it wasn't to throw taunts in her direction. So she wouldn't know whether laughing about an ex was a good thing, or a bad thing, but it was nice to see him laugh all the same. He had a nice laugh - happy. Laughs were meant to be happy, of course, but Marie, in her experience (which, admittedly, wasn't a lot) was sure that laughter could be dark and sad as well.
She nodded. Thinking about university's and education was something she was good at - something her father had always ingrained in her to be important. To get the best grade possibles and strive to be an achiever. Now he was gone...well, she would do him proud. She was at a loss as to what else she could do, if she was completely honest with herself. Thinking about not doing anything however, was like looking into a black abyss. Scary. "Yes...My father's prepared me for it all my life, really. Or...he did..." Past tense. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath before turning to him with a smile, banishing those thoughts finally from her head.
"We go over during the summer occasionally. And Christmasses. But they've never come over here," she paused, considering his next question, then gave a tiny little shrug of her shoulders, "I don't actually know. They've just...always had it. And the rest of my family...A...rich heritage, I guess..." And wasn't that perhaps the most embarressing statement ever...She blinked, watching him sniff for a moment, before giggling. "Of course.
That was true...Her mother didn't like mess. In fact, she didn't like it at all, and would most likely be very irritated with Marie for turning up as she was. Her father may have been the one focussed on her education, but her mother was the one focussed on her appearance. Neatness was key to her. So...showing up with a messy friend, let alone messy herself, and with that friend being a boy...Well, that would not be good. So, yes...Later would be good.
"That sounds...nice. I'd like that." She said, nodding quickly to make up for her failed offer, "Yes...I'd like that a lot actually. You're...nice." She smiled shyly, and then froze as he leant forward, before a red flushed spread brilliantly over her face, radiating out from the spot where his lips had met her cheek. He'd kissed her...Marie had never been kissed before. It had been more of a peck, but had it? She didn't know...She was blushing, as if embarressed, and she was, but...she'd liked it as well.
"Y-yes...Same...Well, except for the almost dying part," she managed to stammer out, fumbling with her door handle. She didn't know what she was meant to do...was he expecting a kiss back? She paused, momentarily, considering that. She...wanted to. She'd admit that, to herself. He didn't seem the type to be just teasing her, but...She didn't know how. Her flush deepened as she managed to open the door. She needed to think about it...But...perhaps later?
"I'll see you later...Thank you..." she murmered, looking back at him, her brown eyes almost blending in with her flushing skin. Thank you for saving her, for the ride, or for the kiss? At that moment, Marie couldn't help but think it was for all three.
