Power: Psychometry - This is the ability to mentally absorb the entire history of an object simply through touch alone or by coming into close contact if the object in question has a powerful link with the past. By touching the object in question, Ade mentally pictures points in the object’s importance which are strong or more recent. Thus delving into an object which is fairly old would possibly cause some interference with her ability. Sometimes if she focuses she can place herself in the vision and instead of seeing like a small flash of the past, she is able to witness entire conversations even though she does not exist realistically in the vision itself.

Power/Personality Relation: Ade was always a curious young soul, never wanting to be told no or miss out on something so obviously having the power to recollect entire event’s that she might not have been present at was a perfect match for her. She always seems intent on bringing up the past when it comes to any conversation and is so bitter about her own that she tries to forget about it but now she has the ability to live it over and over again without fail.

Personality: Call her anything you want but the truth of the matter is that Adelaide is a complicated girl to even try to begin to understand. She always seems stuck in the past, never having the ability to move on and always bringing things up when they might not even be relevant. The girl never forgets when people have scorned her and maybe that is to blame for the slight cynicism that she carries herself with. It’s not that she feels there is a point to be made but that people should never forget that they have wronged her before. Having said that, Ade isn’t one ever to look at the future in hopes of bigger dreams, instead she likes to think of herself as a rather down to earth individual who has gotten this far by letting the wind carry her wherever she blows.

Adelaide barely thinks about things, always feeling the need to jump into them in some sort of rash and unexplained action which she will never back down off of. Some might call this childish but she likes to refer to it as sticking to her guns and doing what needs to be done. Never argue with her because it’s probably not the best idea, what with her being so strong headed and as stubborn as a cross between a Mule and her own Mother. Even when she knows she’s wrong, she will never admit it because she knows that it’s going to lead to her own defeat and she’ll need to be the one that needs to back down.

Ade rarely thinks about how anyone else is feeling, all she cares about is herself. Usually if she finds her friend upset, she will not go and comfort mainly because she thinks that it’s their problem and they can deal with it instead of her. Sure sometimes she will try to be that comforting friend that you need but above all she’ll probably ignore you and leave you to fester away with your own emotions. She is starting to think again however thanks to the fact that her own abilities are starting to make her feel frightened for various reasons.

History: Adelaide was born as an only child to try and mend the broken relationship between her mother and father, not that it really did any good for either Adelaide or the relationship as a whole. You see Ade grew up with it, her mother always accusing her father of thing’s time and time again even when he professed he was innocent, watching that from a young age helped form her in a sense so as not to get to emotionally attached. The arrival of Adelaide seemed only to be a bigger strain on the relationship and everyone in the family knew it even if no one would ever admit to it.

Over the years her mother became abusive to her father, as he tried to defend himself and never really fought back, sort of sad in a way seeing as how her father was genuinely a nice person. Ade was never put in the middle of it but she knew it was going on, after all she wasn’t stupid. As the years passed, the abuse escalated to the point where her mother would beat her father who in turn would never raise a fist in self defence.

One day though, several months after her fifteenth birthday she found a note on the table which had read that her father was moving on and moving out, that he couldn’t take much more of it. And just like that it seemed Ade’s world changed dramatically. She no longer had a father figure to look up to but instead a hot headed mother who took all the rage out on her only child but Adelaide didn’t stick around for long though. She knew she had to escape, she knew she could escape while there was still a chance in hell. So she ran, she ran from home and never even bothered to think about looking back.

She founded herself down in London feeling it was a perfect place for a fresh start, at least that’s what she thought cause only weeks later the storm hit and after that she started to note other changes, these visions... as vivid as flashbacks as if she’d lived through them.
