Scarlett Wickins confident, smart, outgoing
Full Name: Scarlett Wickins Alias: Scarlett Age: Eighteen Date of Birth: 5/6/1992 Ethnicity: Caucasian - Welsh Religion: None Orientation: Straight Occupation: Student, Shop assistant
Face Claim: Moffett, Georgia
Power: The power than Scarlett holds is Zoolingualism. This power gives Scarlett the ability communicate with animals life forms that can not speak like human beings, and she can also understand their reactions. Scarlett's power works mentally, without the use of speech, only direct eye contact and thought.
Scarlett likes to use her power to speak to animals, especially her Border Collie Mabel, but she does not like to try to control them often. She uses her power to control an animal to do something only at a last resort. However, she does use her power to persuade an animal to do a small, simple task, such as to go and get an object for somebody, to go and try to get somebody's attention, or to find a missing object.
So far, Scarlett has not been able to hold a full conversation with an animal without the animal being distracted and ending the direct contact.
Power/Personality Relation: Scarlett's power relates to her personality in several ways; mainly her love for animals. Scarlett has loved animals - big or small, wild or tame - since a young age. She had her first dog when she was three, a large chocolate Labrador called Manny, whom she adored. When she decided to move out and start afresh in North London, the first thing she went out and got was a dog, 3 year old Mabel.
Another thing that links her power and her personality is her shy, quiet side. Scarlett has only a few friends, because people think she is weird and alone. The storm brought her the best power she could have, because she seems to bond so much better with animals than with humans. There are few animals she would not class as her 'friends'.
Personality: People have different opinions about Scarlett's personality. Some say she is emotional and extrovert; others say she is shy and introvert; but the truth is that it depends on who she is around. Around her friends, who are few, she is outrageous and confident and loud. Around new people, she is shy until they get to know her louder side. Around her family is when her bubbly, chatty side shines through.
Scarlett considers herself to be a very optimistic person, managing to find a positive side to everything. Nothing is negative in Scarlett's eyes. Sometimes this gets on people's nerves, but of course she doesn't care about that. So long as she's happy, that's all that matters, although she does like to give advice and help to cheer people up when they are down about something. Scarlett has no regrets about her life so far; she thinks that everything happens for a reason, and that everything that you do in your lifetime is important for the future, whether that may be mistakes, events or memories.
Only one thing that Scarlett wishes she had done a little better is making friends. She doesn't have a lot of friends; she has three or four close friends and a few she likes to have fun with, but she dislikes being in a big group. She would rather go somewhere on her one and do everything independently. However, she wishes she made more friends when she was younger. When she was in primary school she would sit on her own in the corner of the room, instead of playing with the toys and games like other children. A few years later, in secondary school, she began to talk to people and sit next to people in subjects, and she met her three close friends Sara, Elizabeth and Mary, who are very similar to her in many ways. But, as she always says, she has to get on and get over it, and make the most of being young.

History: June 5th, 1992 2:46am A new child is born. A beautiful child, with pale white skin, almost white blonde hair, and fingers so small that look as if they would break at the gentlest touch. Her name is Jasmine. Jasmine is perfect... apart from the fact that she is half the size she should be - Jasmine is three months premature. 8 and a half minutes after Jasmine is taken for check-ups, another baby is born. The baby is a girl, again with the same pale skin and blonde hair, although there is a little more hair on her head than Jasmine. Her eyes open to reveal big, shining, bright blue eyes that look around at her new environment, confused and curious. Her name is Scarlett. This day for Fiona and Kris Wickins is up there with the happiest days of their life; the day their two twin daughters are born. But soon it would all change. Three hours later, at 6am, Fiona and Kris Wickins had some devastating news that they know they would never, ever forget. Jasmine, their first beautiful child, had died in her incubator only ten minutes earlier, and Scarlett only had a 40% chance of survival. This news brought the proud parents' worlds crashing down around them... but they knew there was nothing that could be done to help their little child survive.
June 5th, 2010 It's Scarlett's eighteenth birthday, and there are people milling around in the busy community centre hall. All these people are here to celebrate Scarlett's birthday. For Scarlett to reach her eighteenth birthday is an always-spoken-about miracle among the Wickins family. Nobody would ever know that Scarlett was born three months premature, with a 40% chance at survival and three months in an incubator, because she is now a tall, slim, beautiful adult, with medium-blonde hair and big blue eyes.
Apart from being born three months early and losing her identical twin sister, which she never likes to talk about, Scarlett has lead a perfectly normal life. She grew up in a regular middle-class family, her mother Fiona working as a primary school teacher, and her father Kris working at home as a poet and writer. Scarlett has always been close to her parents, talking to them when down and in need of some comforting. The few friends that she does have are friendly, kind and caring, and listen to her every word, even if she is upset and angry, or happy and excited.
Scarlett has one particular motto that she lives by; 'to define is to limit', which means if she sets herself goals for the future she is only limiting herself; if she does not set a goal or a target she will not be disappointed if they are not reached.
